Alec Baldwin ‘Rust’ Case Deemed Fundamentally Unfair

Congratulations to Alex Spiro, Luke Nikas, and the rest of the Quinn Emanuel team on the unprecedented dismissal of all charges against their client, Alec Baldwin, in a case wrought with prosecutorial misconduct that sensationalized alleged wrongdoing by their high-profile client.

New Mexico First Judicial Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer found that prosecutors willfully withheld key evidence from the defense that critically impacted the fairness of the proceedings. Judge Sommer dismissed the involuntary manslaughter charge with prejudice against Baldwin in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during the filming of Rust.

DOAR was proud to assist the defense counsel with strategic consulting, jury selection, graphics consulting and design, and the presentation of evidence during the trial.
