The securities class action case alleged that Michael Reger, one of the company’s cofounders, committed securities fraud by concealing his ownership stake in the company, which was loaded with debt that benefited him and others. Following the trial, a federal jury in the Southern District of New York returned a verdict worth about $40 million to the plaintiff.
