DOAR has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Multimedia Graphic Designer to join the Trial Consulting group in New York.  Multimedia Graphic Designers are responsible for creating effective and persuasive visual demonstratives for conference rooms, board rooms, and courtrooms by collaborating with other DOAR Consultants and trial attorneys on the best approaches for conveying core case themes and strategic arguments. 

Compensation: $90,000

Travel Requirements

This position requires occasional travel to client and trial sites.

Classification & Expected Hours of Work

This is an exempt, full-time position. Normal business hours are 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required. 


Primary
Responsibilities

  • Work with Consultants, Directors, and clients to understand the scope of the project and the message that must be communicated.
  • Collaborate with clients and experts to conceptualize and design effective presentations, illustrations, animations, charts, and graphs.
  • Create templates, determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based on available space and aesthetic design concepts.
  • Design proof of concepts and other visuals for various audiences based on understanding case facts.
  • Review designs and presentations for errors before presenting them to the project team.
  • Present the design to the project team and client.
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the project team into the final design.
  • Balance time versus workload to consistently deliver effective results.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Job
Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited art school with an emphasis in graphic design, motion design, or related field (visual communications, illustration, industrial design, photograph) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to four years of experience in litigation graphic design with multi-media, including audio, video, and animated content.
  • A high degree of creativity and problem-solving.
  • Excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Embraces working in a diverse, collaborative environment and is willing to train and assist other designers on various levels.
  • Display outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with other teams under extreme pressure.
  • Expert skills in PowerPoint with the ability to create sophisticated animated presentations, timelines, charts, and graphs.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word).
  • Expert level in Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).
  • Experience in video and animation using After Effects and Premiere.
  • Knowledge of 3D Animation applications (Maya, Blender, SketchUp, Autodesk 3ds Max, etc.) is a plus.
  • Understanding of appropriate application of Artificial Intelligence in design.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that allows for long days and weekend work to meet deadlines.
