DOAR is a legal consulting firm that advises lawyers involved in complex high-profile, high-stakes, criminal and civil legal disputes. Our consulting teams are comprised of individuals with experience or education in psychology, communications, engineering, graphic design, computer science, and/or law.  We conduct pre-trial research, including focus groups and mock trials, to further advise our clients on their most effective case strategy. We advise our clients on the development of trial themes and visual presentation strategies for cases all over the world. We create and test compelling presentations using cutting-edge audio/visual technologies to support the lawyers’ arguments.  We support trial lawyers in the courtroom by providing first-class evidence management and presentation.

DOAR is currently seeking a Technical Analyst to join our Trial Consulting Practice. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, a passion for troubleshooting, and an interest in the legal industry. Compensation: $58,000-$63,000 base

Our Analysts support consultant teams related to jury research, graphics design, evidentiary database creation, video editing, client relationships, sales, marketing, staffing, office and facility coordination, and various other administrative tasks. Training will be provided to ensure consistency across all roles and responsibilities.

Primary
Responsibilities

  • Support the setup and maintenance of hardware, software, networking, and A/V systems for jury research events and trials
  • Assist with the development of evidentiary databases and application of litigation support applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to A/V, software, and networks in trial environments
  • Assist with creating visual presentations and graphics, working closely with consultants and designers
  • Conduct market research and assist in the development of thought leadership projects (articles, studies, blog posts, etc.)
  • Support data collection and analysis for jury research, including qualitative and quantitative data
  • Provide general administrative support, including proofreading and drafting memos, and assist in coordinating logistics for trials and research events
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth operations during high-pressure situations, such as trial preparation
  • Assist consulting team in marketing and business development efforts

Job
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of computer networks, hardware, and software troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of data analytics and litigation support applications is a plus
  • Experience with or willingness to learn SPSS or similar statistical software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members and clients
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to support client engagements
  • Availability to work nights and weekends periodically as required
